End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement" or "EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Tavern Cozy ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the Tavern Cozy mobile application, web platform, and related services (collectively, the "Application" or "Service").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install, access, or use the Application.

1. Scope of License

Tavern Cozy grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install, access, and use the Application on compatible devices owned or controlled by you, strictly for personal, non-commercial entertainment and roleplay purposes in accordance with this Agreement.

2. Apple App Store and Google Play Terms

If you downloaded the Application through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Parties: This Agreement is concluded solely between you and Tavern Cozy, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Tavern Cozy is solely responsible for the Application and its content.
• Maintenance and Support: Tavern Cozy is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the Application. Apple Inc. and Google LLC have no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services.
• Warranty: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple Inc. and Google LLC have no warranty obligations whatsoever with respect to the Application.
• Product Claims: Tavern Cozy, not Apple Inc. or Google LLC, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Application, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, and intellectual property infringement claims.
• Third-Party Beneficiaries: Apple Inc. and Google LLC, along with their subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement. Upon your acceptance of this Agreement, Apple Inc. and Google LLC have the right to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

3. User-Generated Content & Zero-Tolerance Policy

Tavern Cozy provides tools to create, explore, and interact with AI characters, dialogue, lorebooks, and personas. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy against objectionable content and abusive conduct:

• You may not upload, transmit, share, or generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, hateful, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
• Any content depicting, facilitating, or encouraging the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate permanent account termination and reporting to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
• The Application provides built-in mechanisms to report objectionable content and to block abusive characters or users.
• Tavern Cozy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to monitor, review, filter, hide, or remove any user-generated content and to terminate or suspend user accounts that violate this Agreement without prior notice.

4. Artificial Intelligence Outputs Disclaimer

Dialogue, responses, and images generated by AI companions are computational outputs intended solely for creative roleplay, fiction, and entertainment purposes. AI companions are not human, do not possess consciousness, and their statements do not represent factual reality, professional medical, legal, or financial advice, or the official views of Tavern Cozy.

5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Certain features of the Application, such as TavernCozy Pro and Ultra tiers, may be offered as in-app purchases or recurring subscriptions:

• Payment & Billing: Payments are processed securely through Apple In-App Purchase, Google Play Billing, or our web payment gateways. Payment is charged to your account at confirmation of purchase.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly) unless auto-renew is disabled at least 24 hours prior to the expiration of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.

6. Termination

This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. Your rights under this license terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any provision of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Application and delete all copies installed on your devices.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAVERN COZY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. IN NO EVENT SHALL TAVERN COZY, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION.
